GoodOrder Deduplication Engine
Frequently Asked Questions
Getting and installing GoodOrder
Where do I download GoodOrder Deduplication Engine?
Get GoodOrder in the Microsoft Store. The link takes you directly to the official GoodOrder Deduplication Engine listing.
Is GoodOrder available now?
Yes. GoodOrder Deduplication Engine is available now from its official Microsoft Store listing.
Is GoodOrder free?
The app is free to download. Processing documents requires an active paid Featherlily subscription.
Why use Microsoft Store?
We want customers to download GoodOrder Deduplication Engine from a familiar, trusted Windows source. Microsoft Store handles the app download, installation, and updates. Featherlily provides and operates GoodOrder, and Stripe handles subscription checkout and payment processing.
What Windows versions are supported?
The Store package supports 64-bit Windows 10 version 2004 or later and Windows 11.
Do I need Python?
No. The installed app includes the software it needs to run.
Account and sign-in
Do I need a password?
Yes. Your verified email and GoodOrder password identify your account.
Why do I enter my email?
Your business email identifies or starts your beta account. Featherlily verifies that you control the mailbox before subscription checkout begins.
What happens after I verify my email?
Return to GoodOrder, create your password, and review and accept the current policies. GoodOrder will then open Stripe Checkout when a subscription is required.
Why do I return to GoodOrder after using my browser?
Email verification and payment happen in browser pages. GoodOrder checks the confirmed status and updates the app automatically.
Why might subscription access still be pending after payment?
Returning from Stripe does not grant access by itself. Stripe confirms the subscription to Featherlily, and GoodOrder enables subscription access after Featherlily receives that confirmation. Wait for GoodOrder to update, and do not purchase the subscription again.
Can I use GoodOrder on another computer?
Yes. Install GoodOrder and sign in with the same email and password. Computers signed in to the same account share that account's page allowance.
Why does GoodOrder remember me?
Windows securely stores this computer's account credential. Select Sign out to invalidate it on this computer.
What if I forget my password?
Select Forgot password and follow the expiring email reset link. A completed password reset signs out existing GoodOrder sessions for account security.
Subscription and billing
Why is the download free but processing paid?
Installing the app does not have an acquisition charge. Document processing uses Featherlily services and processing providers, so it requires an active paid subscription.
Who processes my payment?
Subscription checkout and payment processing are provided through Stripe. Featherlily provides GoodOrder and confirms the resulting subscription status.
Does Microsoft charge the Featherlily subscription?
No. Microsoft Store distributes the app. The implemented Featherlily subscription uses Stripe, not Microsoft Store billing.
How many pages are included?
The current published commercial beta plan is $49.99 per month and includes 1,500 processed pages per billing period. Review the current price and terms shown before completing Stripe Checkout.
What are prepaid pages?
Prepaid pages are page packs purchased in advance. GoodOrder uses them after included subscription pages and before any automatic overage capacity.
What happens when included pages run out?
GoodOrder uses available prepaid pages next. If you have chosen automatic overages, it may use capacity under your selected cap. Otherwise processing stops until more capacity is available.
How do I manage billing?
Open Account in GoodOrder and use the billing-management action. It opens the Stripe Customer Portal for supported payment, invoice, and subscription tasks.
What happens if my payment fails?
Processing may become unavailable or show that billing needs attention. Open Account to review the current status and payment method, or contact support.
What happens if I cancel?
Ordinary cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current paid billing period. Valid paid-through access normally remains until that date. See the Billing Policy for refund and cancellation details.
Processing and results
What files can I submit?
You can submit a single PDF, multiple PDF files, a folder containing PDFs, or a ZIP file containing PDFs. GoodOrder will show the available intake choices in the app.
Does GoodOrder change my original files?
No. GoodOrder works from copies placed in its local workspace and creates separate result files. Your original production files remain separate and should be kept as your original record.
What happens if processing stops?
GoodOrder saves run status and completed work. Follow the in-app retry guidance. If the app says support is required, do not upload the same packet again.
Can I resume a run?
Some interrupted or failed stages can restart from validated saved work. The app will show when retry is safe.
What does GoodOrder consider a duplicate?
GoodOrder compares page content using rule-based checks and AI-assisted review. Bates stamps alone do not make two pages different or identical.
What happens when GoodOrder is uncertain?
The page stays in the review set instead of being removed as a confirmed duplicate.
Which duplicate does GoodOrder keep?
GoodOrder keeps the original or first retained page and removes only later copies it confirms as duplicates.
Does GoodOrder preserve intake order?
Yes. Retained pages are written to the cleaned output in their reconciled intake order.
What is the cleaned PDF?
It is a separate output PDF containing the retained pages. Confirmed duplicate copies do not enter that output.
What is duplicates.csv?
duplicates.csv is a spreadsheet report showing the duplicate pages GoodOrder removed. Each row connects a removed duplicate to the page GoodOrder kept and includes available page and Bates references.
You can open the CSV in Excel or another spreadsheet program.
The Bates references can also make it easier to document duplicate-heavy productions when preparing correspondence, objections, discovery motions, or other review materials.
What happens to Bates numbers?
GoodOrder reads Bates numbers for reference. It does not treat the stamp alone as the page’s substantive identity. Review the output before relying on it.
Privacy and providers
Where are my documents and outputs stored?
The primary workspace, run history, and outputs are stored on your Windows computer under the GoodOrder application-data folder.
Is GoodOrder completely offline?
No. Your main workspace and result files stay on your Windows computer, but GoodOrder sends document content to processing providers when needed to perform its work.
Featherlily takes steps to limit unnecessary use and storage of customer document content. Featherlily does not permit GoodOrder customer content to be shared with OpenAI for model training or model improvement. Featherlily has also disabled OpenAI API call logging for its organization. Microsoft states that customer content submitted to Azure Document Intelligence is not used to train its Document Intelligence models.
Some providers may still retain limited information for security, abuse prevention, legal, or operational purposes under their own policies. Featherlily does not claim zero retention. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
What does Azure process?
Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence processes submitted PDFs for OCR and document reading. Microsoft states that customer content submitted to this service is not used to train its Document Intelligence models. See Microsoft’s Document Intelligence data, privacy, and security documentation.
What does OpenAI process?
OpenAI may process document-derived text and page images for supported Bates-reading and duplicate-review tasks. Featherlily has disabled optional model-feedback, evaluation and fine-tuning, and API input/output sharing controls, as well as organization-level API call logging. Some limited retention may still occur under OpenAI’s policies. See OpenAI’s API data controls.
Does Stripe receive my litigation documents?
No. Litigation documents are not sent to Stripe. Stripe receives account, subscription, billing, payment, invoice, and usage information needed for payment and billing. Complete card numbers entered through Stripe Checkout are not directly received or stored by Featherlily.
Does Microsoft Store process my legal documents?
No. Microsoft Store provides the app download, installation, and updates. Featherlily provides and operates GoodOrder, and Stripe handles subscription checkout and payment processing. Case documents are not sent to Microsoft Store as part of GoodOrder’s document-processing work.
Does GoodOrder guarantee every duplicate will be found?
No. GoodOrder does not guarantee every duplicate will be found. Automated results can be wrong or incomplete. Preserve the originals and review every output and proposed removal.
