FEATHERLILY PRODUCTIONS LLC
GOODORDER DEDUPLICATION ENGINE
COMMERCIAL BETA AND MANDATORY REVIEW NOTICE
This Commercial Beta and Mandatory Review Notice (“Beta Notice”) applies to the GoodOrder Deduplication Engine and forms part of the agreement between Featherlily Productions LLC (“Featherlily,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and each person or organization that purchases, installs, activates, accesses, or uses the GoodOrder Deduplication Engine (“Customer” or “you”).
The GoodOrder Deduplication Engine is a paid commercial-beta product. It uses deterministic processing and artificial-intelligence-assisted analysis to help identify and organize potentially duplicate pages in document collections.
GoodOrder is intended to assist qualified human reviewers. It does not replace professional judgment, discovery review, legal analysis, privilege review, evidentiary analysis, quality control, or final human approval.
By purchasing, activating, or using the GoodOrder Deduplication Engine, you acknowledge and accept the limitations, responsibilities, and required review procedures stated in this Beta Notice.
1. Commercial-Beta Status
The GoodOrder Deduplication Engine is currently commercial-beta software.
“Commercial beta” means that:
- the product is available to paying customers;
- the product performs real document-processing work;
- the product has undergone internal testing and validation;
- the product remains under active development;
- features, interfaces, procedures, and performance may change;
- defects or unexpected behavior may remain;
- some workflows may require support intervention; and
- the product has not yet reached general availability.
Payment for the service does not mean that the product is error-free, complete, or suitable for unsupervised operation.
2. Purpose of the Deduplication Engine
The GoodOrder Deduplication Engine is designed to assist authorized users with identifying and organizing potentially duplicate pages.
Depending on the available version and workflow, it may:
- accept supported PDF files, folders, or archives;
- count pages;
- perform optical character recognition;
- identify Bates numbers or create fallback page identifiers;
- compare page text;
- compare visual characteristics;
- identify possible duplicate relationships;
- group related pages;
- identify a retained parent page;
- identify pages considered duplicate copies;
- create an output PDF;
- create a duplicate report or CSV file; and
- preserve run history or resumable processing information.
GoodOrder is a document-review aid. It does not determine the legal significance, responsiveness, admissibility, privilege status, discoverability, or required disposition of a document.
3. No Guarantee of Complete Duplicate Detection
GoodOrder does not guarantee that it will identify every duplicate page.
A duplicate may be missed because of factors that may include:
- poor scan quality;
- handwriting;
- stamps;
- annotations;
- highlighting;
- redactions;
- cropping;
- rotation;
- compression;
- image degradation;
- changed headers or footers;
- altered Bates labels;
- missing text;
- optical-character-recognition errors;
- visual differences;
- document corruption;
- unsupported formatting;
- processing interruption;
- provider error; or
- limitations in deterministic or artificial-intelligence-assisted analysis.
A page not identified as a duplicate may still duplicate another page.
4. Risk of Incorrect Duplicate Identification
GoodOrder may identify pages as duplicates even though a human reviewer would determine that they contain a material difference.
Potentially significant differences may include:
- handwritten notes;
- signatures;
- initials;
- dates;
- stamps;
- exhibit markings;
- highlighting;
- redactions;
- marginalia;
- altered pagination;
- changed attachments;
- changed metadata;
- different image content;
- changed medical, financial, or legal information;
- partial-page additions or omissions; or
- differences visible only in context.
A page identified as a duplicate must not be assumed to be legally, evidentially, or factually interchangeable with another page.
5. Parent-Page Selection
GoodOrder may select one page as the retained “parent” and identify later pages as duplicate “children.”
The selected parent is generally intended to represent the page retained in the deduplicated output. Parent selection is not a legal determination that:
- the page is the original;
- the page is the best evidence;
- the page is the most complete version;
- the page has superior metadata;
- the page is the version required for production;
- the page is authentic;
- the page is admissible; or
- another copy may lawfully be destroyed or withheld.
Customers must independently confirm that the selected parent is appropriate.
6. Mandatory Human Review
Every GoodOrder result requires meaningful human review.
Before relying on a run, you must:
- preserve the original source files;
- review the generated output;
- review the duplicate report;
- review every proposed duplicate removal;
- compare proposed duplicate children with their retained parents;
- confirm that no unique information has been removed;
- confirm that retained pages are complete and legible;
- confirm that page order is appropriate;
- investigate warnings, uncertainty, and unusual results;
- verify that expected documents and pages remain present; and
- retain sufficient records to reconstruct or audit the review when required.
A quick glance at the output is not sufficient when the documents are important to litigation, investigation, compliance, client rights, or another consequential matter.
7. No Automatic Destruction, Deletion, or Withholding
You must not automatically delete, destroy, discard, withhold, produce, file, or otherwise dispose of documents solely because GoodOrder identified them as duplicates.
GoodOrder does not authorize destruction under:
- a litigation hold;
- a preservation obligation;
- a discovery request;
- a subpoena;
- a court order;
- a protective order;
- a records-management policy;
- an ethical duty;
- a contractual obligation; or
- a client instruction.
Original source materials should be preserved separately unless an authorized professional independently determines that deletion or disposal is lawful and appropriate.
8. Discovery and Production Responsibilities
GoodOrder does not determine whether documents:
- are responsive to discovery;
- are within the scope of a request;
- are required to be produced;
- may be withheld;
- require a privilege log;
- contain confidential information;
- require redaction;
- are subject to a protective order;
- must be produced in a particular format;
- must retain metadata;
- satisfy production specifications; or
- comply with court rules or scheduling orders.
The Customer is solely responsible for discovery decisions and production quality control.
9. Privilege and Confidentiality Review
GoodOrder does not perform a complete privilege, work-product, confidentiality, or protected-information review.
The fact that two pages appear duplicative does not establish that they have the same:
- privilege status;
- confidentiality designation;
- source;
- custodian;
- production history;
- metadata;
- legal significance; or
- disclosure restrictions.
Customers must perform any privilege, confidentiality, redaction, and protective-order review required for the matter.
10. Artificial-Intelligence-Assisted Processing
GoodOrder may use artificial intelligence for limited document-processing tasks, including Bates-number reading, page comparison, or review of possible duplicate relationships.
Artificial-intelligence-assisted results may be:
- inaccurate;
- incomplete;
- inconsistent;
- non-deterministic;
- affected by source quality;
- affected by context limitations;
- affected by provider availability; or
- different when the same or similar material is processed again.
Customers must not treat an artificial-intelligence-assisted result as independently verified merely because the system expressed confidence or produced a polished explanation.
Professional guidance concerning lawyers’ use of generative AI emphasizes continuing duties of competence, confidentiality, communication, and supervision rather than transferring professional responsibility to the technology.
11. Confidence Labels and Review Signals
GoodOrder may display confidence labels, warnings, review recommendations, or other signals.
These labels are aids to prioritization. They are not guarantees.
A high-confidence result may still be wrong.
A medium- or low-confidence result may still identify a true duplicate.
The absence of a warning does not establish that a result has been fully verified.
Customers must review the underlying pages rather than relying only on labels, scores, summaries, or interface indicators.
12. OCR and Bates-Number Limitations
Optical character recognition and Bates-number reading may fail or produce incorrect text.
Potential errors may include:
- omitted characters;
- substituted characters;
- merged text;
- incorrect reading order;
- missed Bates numbers;
- incorrect Bates numbers;
- confusion between letters and numbers;
- failure to recognize handwritten material;
- failure to recognize faint or obscured text; and
- incorrect interpretation of rotated or damaged pages.
Bates numbers and fallback identifiers are aids to page identification. They do not establish authenticity, completeness, source, sequence, or legal status.
Customers must independently verify important identifiers against the original documents.
13. Visual and Textual Differences
GoodOrder may consider both textual and visual information when comparing pages.
Neither method alone can determine whether a difference is legally or factually material.
Pages may have similar text but materially different:
- images;
- signatures;
- annotations;
- attachments;
- diagrams;
- handwriting;
- formatting;
- stamps;
- redactions; or
- context.
Pages may appear visually similar while containing materially different recognized or unrecognized text.
The Customer is responsible for reviewing both the page appearance and its content.
14. Input Quality and Supported Materials
Results depend in part on the quality and structure of submitted materials.
Customers should use complete and readable source files whenever available.
GoodOrder may perform poorly or fail when files are:
- damaged;
- encrypted;
- password-protected;
- malformed;
- partially downloaded;
- excessively large;
- unsupported;
- unusually encoded;
- composed of extreme-resolution images;
- missing pages;
- internally inconsistent; or
- otherwise unsuitable for processing.
GoodOrder’s acceptance of a file does not guarantee that every page can be accurately interpreted.
15. Output Verification
Before using an output PDF or duplicate report, the Customer must verify:
- the expected run completed;
- the expected source files were included;
- the page count is reasonable;
- the output opens correctly;
- the output is not corrupted;
- expected unique pages remain;
- proposed removals are genuine duplicates;
- the selected parent pages are acceptable;
- page order is appropriate;
- identifiers are accurate enough for the intended use; and
- warnings or incomplete stages have been resolved.
Customers should compare output totals against source totals and the duplicate report.
16. Original Files and Backups
GoodOrder is not a substitute for document preservation or backup systems.
Before beginning a run, Customers should:
- preserve an unchanged copy of each source file;
- maintain an appropriate backup;
- avoid processing the only existing copy;
- confirm sufficient local storage;
- protect source and output folders against unauthorized access; and
- retain originals for as long as required by law, professional duty, court order, contract, client instruction, or firm policy.
Featherlily ordinarily cannot restore files that existed only on the Customer’s computer and were deleted, overwritten, corrupted, or lost.
17. Local Workspace and Artifacts
GoodOrder may store source documents, staged files, OCR results, comparison data, run history, logs, reports, outputs, and recovery information locally on the Customer’s computer.
Customers are responsible for:
- securing the computer;
- controlling access;
- selecting appropriate storage locations;
- maintaining backups;
- reviewing local artifacts;
- complying with retention obligations; and
- securely deleting files when authorized and no longer needed.
Uninstalling GoodOrder may not remove all local files, outputs, history, credentials, or workspace artifacts.
18. Remote Processing
GoodOrder is not a completely offline application.
Customer Content may be transmitted through Featherlily-controlled infrastructure and to service providers for functions that may include:
- page counting;
- optical character recognition;
- Bates-number reading;
- duplicate comparison;
- artificial-intelligence-assisted review;
- authorization;
- usage accounting;
- security;
- troubleshooting; and
- error recovery.
Customers must determine whether remote processing is appropriate for the submitted materials and consistent with applicable legal, professional, contractual, court, insurer, and client requirements.
19. Customer Authority and Sensitive Materials
Customers must have lawful authority to submit and process every document provided to GoodOrder.
Before submitting sensitive information, Customers must determine whether they are authorized to use the Services for material that may include:
- protected health information;
- medical records;
- personally identifiable information;
- financial information;
- employment information;
- trade secrets;
- information concerning minors;
- attorney-client communications;
- attorney work product;
- confidential settlement information;
- sealed records;
- information subject to a protective order; or
- information subject to contractual restrictions.
GoodOrder’s availability does not itself establish compliance with HIPAA, professional-conduct rules, privacy laws, protective orders, or specialized security obligations.
20. Customer Competence and Supervision
GoodOrder should be used by, or under the supervision of, a person capable of understanding:
- the source documents;
- the purpose of the review;
- the consequences of removing pages;
- the limitations of automated comparison;
- the applicable preservation and production duties; and
- the need for final quality control.
Organizations remain responsible for appropriately training and supervising personnel who use GoodOrder.
The person responsible for the matter must not delegate final judgment to the software.
21. No Reliance on Demonstrations or Test Results
Demonstrations, sample results, internal tests, validation packets, testimonials, performance descriptions, or prior successful runs do not guarantee identical results for another document collection.
Performance may vary based on:
- page count;
- document quality;
- document type;
- scan quality;
- duplication pattern;
- annotations;
- system conditions;
- provider conditions;
- network availability; and
- other technical or factual differences.
A successful test does not eliminate the need for review in a later run.
22. Processing Time
Any processing-time estimate is approximate.
Actual time may vary because of:
- document size;
- document quality;
- page complexity;
- network conditions;
- provider availability;
- queue conditions;
- retries;
- artificial-intelligence review volume;
- local hardware; or
- service interruptions.
A delay does not necessarily indicate failure.
Customers must not use an estimated processing time as the sole basis for meeting a filing, discovery, production, or client deadline.
23. Interruptions, Recovery, and Resumption
A run may be interrupted by:
- application closure;
- computer restart;
- lost network access;
- provider failure;
- local resource limits;
- software defect;
- security controls; or
- other events.
GoodOrder may preserve resumable state, but successful recovery is not guaranteed.
After interruption, Customers must verify:
- whether the run completed;
- whether processing resumed;
- whether an output is complete;
- whether usage was committed;
- whether a new run would duplicate prior work; and
- whether support assistance is required.
Do not assume that an interrupted run either fully succeeded or fully failed.
24. Billing Does Not Certify Accuracy
A page charge, allowance commitment, successful payment, completed invoice, or successful processing status does not certify that:
- the page was read correctly;
- every duplicate was found;
- every removal is correct;
- the output is complete;
- the result is suitable for production; or
- human review is unnecessary.
Billing records establish use of processing resources and account entitlements, not the legal or factual accuracy of the result.
25. Beta Changes and Updates
During the commercial beta, Featherlily may change:
- supported inputs;
- processing methods;
- user-interface elements;
- warnings;
- confidence labels;
- providers;
- output formats;
- installation procedures;
- device restrictions;
- usage limits;
- recovery procedures; or
- documentation.
Updates may be required for continued access, compatibility, security, or billing accuracy.
Customers should review updated notices and instructions.
26. Defect and Error Reporting
Customers should promptly report suspected defects, unsafe removals, missing pages, corrupted outputs, repeated charges, or other material issues to:
hello@featherlilyproductions.com
Use the subject line:
GoodOrder Beta Issue
The initial report should include:
- the account email;
- the approximate date and time of the run;
- the run identifier, when available;
- a concise description of the issue;
- the application version, when available; and
- screenshots that do not expose unnecessary confidential information.
Do not initially send complete client files, complete payment-card information, passwords, activation credentials, or unnecessary protected information.
Featherlily may request limited diagnostic data or an authorized sample if needed to investigate.
27. Stop-Use Conditions
Stop using the affected output and contact Featherlily when:
- the output cannot be opened;
- the output page count appears materially wrong;
- unique pages appear to be missing;
- the duplicate report is absent or corrupted;
- the same page appears inconsistently classified;
- identifiers appear materially incorrect;
- a run reports unresolved or incomplete status;
- the application displays a serious warning;
- billing appears duplicated;
- account activity appears unauthorized; or
- continued use could risk loss, disclosure, destruction, or incorrect production of documents.
Do not continue relying on a result after discovering a material reason to question it.
28. No Emergency or Deadline-Critical Reliance
GoodOrder is not an emergency service.
Featherlily does not guarantee:
- immediate processing;
- uninterrupted availability;
- immediate support;
- completion by a court deadline;
- completion by a production deadline;
- recovery within a particular time; or
- availability of third-party providers.
Customers must maintain sufficient time and alternative procedures to complete required work if GoodOrder is delayed or unavailable.
29. Customer’s Final Responsibility
The Customer retains final responsibility for:
- preservation;
- collection;
- review;
- responsiveness decisions;
- privilege decisions;
- confidentiality decisions;
- redaction;
- production;
- filing;
- quality control;
- document retention;
- deletion;
- client communication;
- compliance with court orders;
- compliance with professional obligations; and
- all other decisions concerning the documents and the matter.
Featherlily does not assume those responsibilities by providing GoodOrder.

I understand that the GoodOrder Deduplication Engine is commercial-beta software and may miss duplicates or incorrectly identify pages as duplicates. I will preserve the original files and independently review the output and every proposed removal before relying on the results, deleting documents, or using the output in discovery, production, filing, or other consequential work.
The acknowledgment must not be preselected on behalf of the Customer.
The Customer must have an opportunity to access this Beta Notice before acknowledging it.
